I would like to know the release dates for:
Resident Evil: CV X
Silent Hill 2
Devil May Cry
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Final Fantasy X
GAME claim that they will have RE in September but i haven't heard anything else about the other games. Special Reserve also say that Square have finished FFX so that can't be long.....can it?

August 10th I think as I spotted an advert in the latest PSW when I was reading it today.

Well, here are some more games that i would to know the release dates for:
SSX2
Syphon Filter 3
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2
Colin Mcrae Rally 3
Wipeout Fusion
I think that some of these games are quite a long way off. Anyway thanks to everybody for all the info they have given so far. Also does anybody know when the Final Fantasy film is released?

I heard December 1st too from someone who came into where i work. I doubt Sony will save it to compeat with other consoles because this Xmas is THE time for Sony to win the console war - they have zero competition in europe and two realtively new brands in the USA/Japan. With Sony guaranteeing plentiful supplies of the PS2 world wide it really is do or die time for the PS2 this year...plus with FFX, Timesplitters 2, Ridge Raver 6, USSOCOM, the hard drive/modem, WWF 3, Tony Hawks ....*recites massive list of games that are forthcoming* all heading to the PS2 MGS2 is not the only star, its just closer !

ive heard that MGs will be released on December 1st in the UK, but expect this to be put back to go against Gamecube/X-Box (BOO).
For FFX ive heard November/December but ive also read as late as July 2002.
All the rest 3rd/4th quarter 2001.
Youve mist of two games which i think will sell millions of PS2 and single handedly win the console war, WWF Smackdown: just bring it and Tony Hawks 3. Both November releases(hopefully).

All of them I believe are scheduled for late 2001/ early 2002 releases - with the exception of Code Veronica X which should be out around September time!!
