Has anyone else noticed how AI bares an uncanny resemblance to DARYL? Stanley Kubrick had the idea for AI in 1985, which I think is roughly when DARYL came out. Also, didn't Steven Spielberg direct DARYL? Also, does anyone else remember DARYL?

I don't rememer too well, afterall it was the first movie that my family ever rented.

We'd only had the VCR for a week or so, and had previously watched a copy of 'Electra Glide in Blue' in blue, or something. That was a movie about cops on bikes. It was cool.

I'm sure D.A.R.Y.L. will be on Channel 5 again soon though, so you can watch it again to find out what happened to him.

He could fly one of them stealthy planes as well, but I nearly cried when he nearly died. Did he die, or was he taken apart by the government?

Steven Spielberg didn't direct DARYL (my fault there) but it did have Michael McKean, of Spinal Tap fame, in it (he played DARYL's 'Dad' - had to boff a microwave for that one).
