Ah... Nintendo... That name has such a lovely ring to it.

Anyhoo, I think Nintendo have pretty much got 'The Future of Gaming' in the bag... I mean an amazing handheld, Pokémon and one hell of a games console... can they go wrong...? Maybe. If they don't market this Advanced Era properly they're screwed. Sony, no matter how hard it may seem, always come up with an amazing advertising campaign... it may not show off the ability of the PS2 or its games... BUT they get you thinking and the chances are you're going to be thinking about F1 2001 until you buy the thing.
It is a quality title though, isn't it... the graphics are near perfect and the only REAL flaw is the commentary. (Excuse me while I put my Sonic CD in... There) Now where were we.. ah yes... Sony... this is supposed to be a Nintendo post so we'll drop Ken Kutaragi and his suped-up black radiator for now...
Have you seen the Mario Kart video for the Gamecube? I didn't think there were any but well... there are... the video is quite plain but it's enough reassurance for me to know there's a 128-bit Mario Kart game on the Gamecube... Do you think it'll be linked with the GBA version... hopefully we'll be able to switch characters and even tracks... I hope they incorporate more into the gameplay. I'd like to be able to make my own track, arrange current tracks and make my own cup and design my own character in the next one... simple add-ons that could make the world of difference!
You see, in my view, the size of the Nintendo games were good... i'm focusing more on 1st and second parties here, but even though Conker was short, it was perfect for it's style... and Rare always had Banjo-Tooie to compensate... both were great games and the Gamecube just wouldn't be the same if these games weren't there... but would you prefer to see more of the same characters or more of new characters... Nintendo themselves are changing the face on Nintendo with Luigi as oppose to Mario, although you can bet Mario himself won't be far behind... But although the core Nintendo players (characters) will stay would you prefer to see say... Donkey Kong take a step back and people like Sabre-Wulf and Kameo bought forward as main players...
One thing i'm concerned about is the quickness of games coming through... It's good I know... but you can only worry that the actual games will be below par and rushed... and yes, I know... it's Shigsy, but even he makes mistakes... yes he gets his coat trapped in the door! I just hoe the games are just as good as their predecessors!
Have you seen that gamecubexl.com site… not bad really… I prefer Tendo Box mind! There is a GBAXL as well… that’s just as good… I don’t think much of Nintendo’s site.. it’s all well and good for US people but for us it isn’t much good… someone should tell the UK Ninty staff to make the site better… Not that our moaning is going to help…
Do you notice how all the Ninty sites have the same news… they’re like mirrored sites with a different look. BTW – Anyone got a Saturn they don’t want… I’ve got a copy of NiGHTS from a friend who doesn’t like it anymore… he’s had it 4 years!!!
But as I was saying, Nintendo are great… they’ve got the right arsenal to take the next war… I don’t know what the outcome will be but, I’ll bet Nintendo will take a MUCH bigger step towards Sony’s throne, if for some obscure reason they don’t take it and pass them – which I think they will…
