The power supply should be swappable. Mark one Xboxes used the AT standard I believe and Mark 2 onwards the ATX. This means that the internal voltages should be the same. That is the case for most consoles actually, the best example being the N64. I always found it funny when people imported them and used a step down, the power bricks were entirely compatible. To run a US or Japanese one all you had to do was bung in a British power brick and you were away.

Quite correct, thats why you take extra precautions with regard to the power supply.

Yup! All pc's have built in processors: See my point. I am not saying they don't look the same, jesus the xbox rivals my computer in space it takes up but I am saying they are very different machines that need different servicing and different risks are involved (ie: you can't shock yourself with a PC unless you stick something in the power supply: I don't beleive that the power supply is coverd up in the xbox, like most consoles, tv's & hifis

As far as i know, only similarity is that they use IDE hard disks and cables and plus- arn't they built in components
