Leaving Ely after shopping, it did occur to me that we have never had a game before that concentrates on building just one building!!!

Well, a Cathedral took thousands of years to create!!

In this game, you start off on a vacant plot of land sometime at the end of the Roman period. You must first plan your building using the Architect Tool - however your early plans will normally be small because of limited manpower, funds and worshippers. Once ready you employ a Master Mason to lay the foundation stone and get building.

Set in real-time, you will be able to watch your building take shape, at the same time a growing community will build up around your church which you will have to fulfill their needs whilst also reap in taxes to fund your building.

Constant threats would be Peasant Revolt due to high taxes, Fire or Tempest (a damaging storm) and The Pope, who from time to time would levy charges on you.

Also, as time goes by, the architectural style of your early church could be improved. Using the Architect Tool, you could click and highlight a section of building to be altered, re-design with the latest style and then click on re-build. Thus your dark, badly lighted church could recieve a new set of windows in the latest style, impressing your community and giving you more worshippers.

The ages would be Saxon, Norman, Medieval, Tudor, Renaisence, Georgian, Victorian, Modern and finally Futuristic.

Finally, a first person view could be incorporated to allow you to wander around your community, to "spread the word" so`s to speak, and also to view your church from inside, just to see if you can improve things any better for your worshippers...

I would hope it does not sound TOO religous, thats not its purpose, but the fact is it has to be part of the game because of the core building idea. I myself am not in the slightest bit an ardent church goer, but the appeal of the building nature of this game could only work with a church, as not many other structures take so long to create. If it was down to you to build more than one building we would be retreading the Sim City / Theme Park genre again.

But like i said, this is only an idea...

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
LOVE it....
You have made it so easy to build & host a website!!!
