The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
It all started when as FOG became more popular, more chat topics were made.
In the end the forum was split into 2 so that the chatter could go in one while the other was proper FOG.
Now this is an established chat forum, it doesn't need to be called FOG any more, just chatter.
Then the proper FOG can have it's proper name back.
Seeing as the chat forum has barely anything to do with the future of gaming, I think that the name change would be a good idea.

It should stay just the same it is with Chat and Prime. If you look around on chat you'll see topics that will not do on Prime, for instance. There was a topic about Gutars!!!

I have grown to like the two FOGs now. We have one that's always full of really good posts, but gets a bit dead at times, and one which is totally stupid but is always fun and a great place to ask a question or make a point.

I disagree you see the two fogs are different the one for people like me who like just asking questions and chatting, and the other one the gaming one which is also good and is more established than chatter. In chatter it is a less tense atmosphere as you don't have to worry about talking about games and sticking to subjects. In prime you have to write at a steady standard that fits the like's of the notable's which is fine and then you have to keep it to the standard of people like Time-warp who are hopefuls for the next notable election (which worries people as they started campaigning rite after the last election). I think the two fogs should stay and the chatter will soon develope into a starting point for newbies etc, people that dislike the chatterforum are good people and i know what they mean by dislike- This web-site is a computer company and you would of thought that it would be a computer related forum/topic system. It is also a place too relaxe and talk to people.

Segregation: the separation or isolation of a race, class, or ethnic group by enforced or voluntary residence in a restricted area, by barriers to social intercourse, by separate educational facilities, or by other discriminatory means.
Discrimination is a bad thing. By having two forums, one for newbies and one for regulars, we are discriminating against the newbie posters just because of the misconception that they will come into the FOG and start posting trash all over the prime topics, not stick to the point, talk about anything except the Future of Gaming, and generally make a complete nuiscance of themselves.
It's better just to shoot them and be done with it.
