Many people thought that the nintendo 64 was a huge dissapointment, with many, or far to many 'cute' style games. Yes there were many that would be classed as 'cute'. Though really, were they that bad? or is it a reason for Playsation fans to stab at Nintendo?
On a personal opinion I thught the 64 was a great console, so what I am talking about? Well the future.
The NES and SNES never really had many 'cute' classed games. The N64 did, the Game Cube is expected to have a mixture of both. So why the 64 the odd one out?
Well we can't look back at what Ninty has done, we can only look forward. The GBA advance; released only Friday and I haven't heard a bad report yet. Looks like this little mean machine has a good future. The Gameboy has never really had to many bad reports- it has always been a great idea. It went very downhill at one point, and though I dont want to say it- Pokemon was the saviour. It brought the GBC back to life.
So what we going to see on the GBA- more Pokemon titles, a wider range of RPGs, sports and adventure? I feel this machine has a bright future, as long as Nintendo pay attention to it. Will they though? Or is all concentration going to go to the Game Cube. One can hope not, as not even Pokemon may be able to revive it again. What are your opinions on the future of the GBA?
The Gamecube- plenty of information has been released on this console. We have seen launch titles, video clips and pictures. They have, and many have agreed, plenty of potential. The grahics are looking top notch, the playabilty looks great and the reviews are more compliments to what this machine may be capable of.
So we can agree it looks pretty smart? No matter though, what we think, it's up to Nintendo on how they use it. Will they use it to it's maximum capacity? One would hope so! They may underuse it though, and ruin something that has great potential or will they think far to much of it and make games that are far to big to run, resulting in us buying more memory for it...I can see this happening.
So there are many outcomes of what could happen to the new Ninty machines. They could be the best thing since sliced bread, but lets not get to excited, they could be huge flops, one could be used alot more than the other. Its all up to you now Nintendo, we can see what you have, and what you have is potential to be the best.... how will they use it is what will determine a good or bleak future for the Nintendo consoles.

>but will the GBA do well?
The GBA has already done well. It has become the fastest selling console ever. It broke the record set by the PS2. The GBA shifted 80,000+ units in its first weekend. Apparently 100,000 were shifted in Germany and in america the first shipment got totally sold out in a week. GBA is huge,massive...unstopable?
