Been reading reviews on this game all over the place... And really want it, seeing as it's in a similiar vein to Disgaea which I currently can't put down... Except when I feel like commiting genoside after I die having not saved for dozens of hours (I like to leave my PS2 on the entire time, when I sleep, when I eat, when I'm on the computer... The *vrrrr* noise is comforting :P).

Anyway, done a couple of searches, SR don't have it, GAME doesn't have it, Amazon doesn't have it (well, .com does, .co.uk doesn't :(...)... Even Kelkoo and BizRate don't have it.

I'm going mad.

Apparently it was released in the Europe, and a French copy would do fine - I'd miss any jokes, but I'd understand... - but surely it would have been released in the PAL Austrialia? No?

Ugh. Is it possible to get PS2's to play NTSC? Not sure if my TV would be OK though. I'm going to the US in a couple of weeks so I could pick one up there, meaning no silly VAT or extensive shipping fee.

(If it's not possible to buy in the UK, I could pick up some NTSC copies while I'm there for anyone else who wants one, I suppose :D.)

Hmm... Apparently there's a £30 'chip it yourself' thingy.

La Pucelle, although actually made before Disgaea was released after it in America and so far no European release has happened. Whether it does or not will depend on the success of Disgaea over here.

Far as chipping goes, got mine done by someone i knew down the computer fair, you will usually get a years warranty with it as well so if it stops working just go back and get a replacement. Should cost you 50 quid if it's the same price as where i live. Sounds like your uncle was unlucky and picked a shoddy chipper.

They are discs with little cleaning stripson the bottom that clean the lens when the disc is playing.

What are lense cleaners anyway?

Cloth? Discs?

I have a lense cleaner you can have. I had it for Xbox before I replaced the drive.

Only one problem...

The second one (original one) has problems with reading discs...

Who sells lens cleaners?

Well, you have no excuse not to chip one :D If it stops playing normal games, you'll have another PS2 to play them on!

Where can ya get it chipped? I'd rather not..

My Uncle, a policeman :D, got his chipped, can't play normal games.
