This time around, I remembered to think about it in time, so I want to make good ones.
The frustrating thing about making lifestyle changes is that while they might be very easy things to do, remembering to do them, making them a habit, can be very difficult. It's so easy to slip back into your old 'normal' behaviour.
This year it's hard to pick too. I'm a couple of months into my new job, living in a new area - I'm still settling down and forming new expectations.
I guess if new year's resolutions are about making changes, my whole life is still in change at the moment.
All the better to decide what I want then.
Enough emo tangent. Throw out some suggestions - resolutions you could take on and other ideas that sound nice (please specify).
* Excercise more often
* Put any money that I recieve (over £5 at one time, nothing less) into the bank
* Eat more greens
* Tidy my room regularly
* Hang around here LESS
* Try harder in school
That'll do for now :)
to actually try and play the guitar I've owned for about three years
to get a decent part-time job, but that's never gonna happen
put some effort into my As January exams
Get back into the Martial Arts full time
Have a proper go at playing the Guitar
Begin saving for a house
At least one of those may require a miracle ...
Now that that joke is out of the way, already used and therefore should not be mentioned again in this topic, I decided to pick a realistic new years resolution this time, rather than one which is easily accomplishable or one that is broken in two days.
But they don't really last the whole year. My new year's resolutions are:
- To pass my second attempt at my practical driving test on January 10th
- To manage my money strictly so I can pay off my tuition fees
- To do well in my college course, seeing as I failed my last one. Last time I was lazy. This time, the course I am on is really fun and a lot more practical, which is just what I was after and is really interesting, so hopefully I'll do better and be able to stick to it.
