"32 voice stereo/ sound card"

i just ordered a new pc and it says it has 32 voice stereo, but there is no reference to a sound card. am i going to be able to run music programs such as cubase audio or logic audio or am i going to have to get a sound card? the computer i'm getting is a maxx p3 933. any help would be much apprieciated!!!

If your just messing about with Cubass or other such software then any modern sound card will do but if you want to do anything serious you need a MINIMUM of something like the Crative Live Player 5.1 and thats not to mention any of the other hardware you would need.

thanks for the reasurrance reaper. i didn't want to spend money on something that wouldn't do what i want ( i've had enough of that with this damn laptop!!!) hope you get on with cubase, i've been using it for years and once you get your head round it you'll be glad you did. easy!

The MaxxPC specs for that model say Integrated sound, so the motherboard already has the audio chipset on-board.

And don't mention cubase, we've been using it at school for weeks and I'm getting very annoyed with it..
