How long do we have to wait for the next Indy film?
Will Harrison Ford decline to do it because of age?
Is Spielburg really wanting to make this film at all?
And is the forthcoming TombRaider movie going to make Indiana Jones a thing of the past?
I think this character still has a story to tell, i just wish the powers-that-be would hurry up and tell it!!!!.

Actually, the only agreement so far according to all the Movie and Film mags i`ve read is that both would be willing to do a fourth outing should the timing be right and the script very good. There is still no official signing on dotted lines for this to go ahead.
Harrison Ford was also once quoted that he saw Indy as an ongoing project, that the 4th instalment would round up his character and push him to the limit in search of the next big find. Sean Connery has also been asked to reprise his role but so far has not committed.
Another problem is the films have always been a joint project between Spielberg and George Lucas, and the latter has a rather busy workload completing Star Wars Episode 2 then 3. All the while, the supposedly completed Indy 4 script lies untouched again.
Now that Spielberg has completed A.I., It would be a shame if he did not start on Indy 4, before Ford decides otherwise. We can`t have films like the Mummy, The Mummy Returns and TombRaider becoming the legacy of Indy - we need another Indy film, even if it is the last his story needs to be completed.
I can't see Tomb Raider, or in fact, anything taking its place.
The problem with a 4th Indy also involves George Lucas finding time! But between Episodes 2 and 3 (Star Wars) has been cited as a possibility.

The only problem being sheduling the times of both
Spielberg and Ford so that they are both free to film? ...
Which I understabd to be around Fords sixty second birthday?
I doub very much whether Tomb Raider is taking Joneses crown... Since, as a movie its been panned by the critics.. which generally means it'll be fun to watch, but have no lasting value... besides, Indy Jones pretty much set the mold for this kind of (retro) move...
Its like saying that the Wing Commander film will take over Star Wars...
Spielburg does seem to be dragging his heels, as does Ford when it comes to commiting to a fourth film. By the time the both of them agree we might have another couple of TombRaider films on our hands!.
