If the story isn't there (it's an updated page, and there was nothing on the NTL website), then it's about getting a free Xbox when you sign up to NTL broadband. Anyone?

You won't be able to cancel your contract with NTL. It's a contract, there's a mandatory 12 month minimum period. No ifs/buts.
I looked into this, as I'm already on NTL 600K and I wouldn't mind an Xbox. Turns out it's (a) actually £2 more, (b) subject to a £75 "installation fee" and (c) only for use with your Xbox, it seems. So actually, the deal sucks.
Lol, i find this quite funny on the web page with info about the free console it talks about how Xbox live has more than a million subscribers, and it finishs the article saying
"The PlayStation 2 also offers online gaming, via an ethernet adapter"
Talk about a put down.
I might complain.

Well i bet you never had to pay to get broadband installed. And probably still don't if you don't want the xbox. So that's £50 les ntl have to pay towards the xbox.
What about existing customers?

Idiots.
I'm a customer of NTL, I have been for nearly 3 years, Where is my Xbox?
