I suppose that with the many quality in-house games that Nintendo and Rare are producing, they can be forgiven for this, but it's guaranteed that no console will survive without third party software. Even though the games that are currently being made are of classic quality, it's only a matter of time before either the (dare I say it) PS2 or the Xbox manages to overtake and pummel the GC, unless development kits are shipped out pronto to important third party developers, as this will decide how many consoles will be sold initially - the public prefer to side with the console with the more choice, and although Nintendo has learnt from their previous mistake and has now made dev kits that can be used easily to produce fantastic games, this fact is useless unless the developers can get the kits in the first place. Let's face it - no-one can rely on just the one company to do things - variety is what we need. It's like playing and using only Microsoft games and software.
I bet that what Miyatomo, or whatever his name is, is crying into his pillow right now!!!
