The show is a sort of updated version of the Six Million Dollar man. Basically the main character, called Michael, is killed due to falling on sub-way tracks. What a way to die, right? Wrong, his brain is actually left intact and is put into a 26 year old artifical body. This body is the most advanced in the world, he is given super-human strength, able to reach a speed (no not the drugs) of 30mph and has healing that the X-men's Wolverine would be proud of. Sounds pretty cool, the draw-back (notice how great things always come with draw-backs) is that no-one from his previous life is allowed to know that he is alive (that includes his wife and daughter) otherwise they would be killed. Why has he been given this second life in a super body, I hear you ask. Well, he is to work as a goverment person sent on missions dubbed too dangerous for "normal" men (and women).
The series basically revolves around this artifical guy's conflict between wanting to reunite with his family and also serve the government well whom have given him his second life.
********** Miss this paragraph out if you do not want to see end of episode events *******************************
In the end the artifical guy (who consequently had his tracking device in him removed due to circumstances) decided enough was enough and escaped. Grabbing his wife and daughter from his home they fled, moments later the house (now empty) was raided by an army of government agents. That is how the end of the series is concluded, with a cliff-hanger.

After enjoying the first series of this good tv series I was shocked to hear that the 2nd series was cancelled and I hope you enjoy/or have enjoyed the 1st series as much as I have, cheers.

the show was also shown on ITV and was absoutly RUBBISH, I love Sci-Fi but the storline is TOTALLY unbelivable. After the extramly long introduction at the begining of the episode I watched the rest of the show half alssep!
