They come with 5,400 RPM hard drives.

All the latest Maxx pc's come with a 40gb hard drive running at 5400rpm though you can actually get it upgraded to a different hard drive if you want just paying the extra amount.

it depends what you are using your computer for turbo nutter. If you have the money and reqire to get in the HDD quicker then it is better to have a higher RPM such as 7200RPM or 10000RPM. RPM stands for revolutions per minuet and 7200 is like 1800 revolutions more per minuet than a 5400rpm hard disk. and that means that a 10000RPM hardisk is about twice as fast.

Adrian, you're right, but the main thing that can slow down HDD is the seek time. Thats the length of time it takes to find the info that it wants on the actual HDD.

Once it's found the info, then yes, the quicker the spin speed the quicker the information is read.
