Looking excellent. Just finished watching the massive 30 minute walkthrough of the game engine and what you can do with each of the characters. For those who don't know it is being powered by the new Half Life 2 engine so as you probably imagine the in game physics are awesome. By the looks of things it looks a hell of a lot better than the bore fest that was Redemption; Dungeon trawling at its lowest.

The new freedom and free roaming ability to approach the game like you would with any other traditional RPG appeals greatly, last time round you were confined to tight spaces and despite excelling technically it was extremely dull to play.

Released early October it is looking absolutely stunning so far. If you have Broadband nip over to GameSpy and nab the 650mb walkthrough; a collection of 5 separate video high lighting all the new areas of the game as well as the new First Person shooter approach to the shooting sections which isn't too dissimilar to what you will have seen from Half Life 2.

Anyone taken an interest in the game thus far?

The new one looks like a more traditional form of Deus Ex with the added 3rd person view point.

The first person sections look awesome which as I have mentioned is no surprise thanks to running off a Half Life 2 source code. The magic you can implement doesn't have that 'geeky' edge to it where you sit on your PC building it up for hours; instead you upgrade in a similar fashion to Deus Ex and depending what level you upgrade to will depend on the damage you can cause.

I also prefer the free roaming "feed of the homeless approach" and with the use of the ability to see through walls the bodies are outlines in red particles depending on your ability to detect prey. If you are out in the open caught feeding you will get busted by the cops or even worse hunted down by Vampire Killing clans. All this with superior AI and a new modern setting really gives the game the edge for me.

Outside of Half Life 2 and Metal Gear 3 it is one of very few games I really can't wait to get my hands on.

Kind of interested, I had the original V:TM game (still do actually) and for the time it looked great but sadly played terribly - fighting was a mess along with crap camera. This new one certainly looks better, but I'll be waiting to see how well it plays before buying. Been meaning to get the walkthrough eventually as well.

Really it lends itself best to a MMORPG (in fact that'd be amazing + commercially viable right now).
