This is ridiculous and unfair

Yes, I am a Newbie. But I have never posted spam, or anything inappropiate. Since the FOG forum was split, anything that isn't completely serious has gone on the chat forum

Then, today, I find that I cannot post on the prime topics forum. Just because I haven't posted 300 messages.

Now, I realise that some Newbies have been causing problems. However, I have been around for six months, and haven't annoyed people. I haven't posted all that much, but that is because I want to make sure that anything I do post is sensible (ish).

Now, I want to add a sensible topic that I feel is interesting to everyone, and related to the Future of Gaming, and I am not allowed to.

And you know what this encourages me to do? Post loads of spam on this forum so that I can become a regular. Now I see that seeing as the status system is done merely by number of posts, this is VERY UNFAIR.

Wishing as much pain (and I mean it this time) onto you as possible,

P.s. I am very tempted to go away and not post anywhere here again. I am also sorry for shouting at members of staff. However, I feel intimidated and annoyed that I am not allowed to express my views, simply because I haven't written as much rubbish as possible!

Yes, I noted that. There's not point in saying to Newbies, you can't come and spam here unless you've already spammed on the other forum!

Yeah but now they spam more so they can be a regular quicker, and have the privilage to post new topics in the Prime forum. I for one did not spam at all, as I'm sure lots of you out there didn't either.

Yes - I have realised that you can post replies, so it's not so bad as it looked. I'm sure I'll manage 'til I become a regular.
