Has anyone you know suffered at the hands of incurable disease?
And the shame is that my mum pointed that out to her, and although my grandma, being the kind, no worries grandma that she was, objected to see a docter, but my mum forced her, knowing that something wasn't right.
The docter said everything was fine, it's just a rash. Within a week from that grandma was rushed to hospital and was gone, just like that. All because that docter didn't know what was what.
Now I wish I had gotten to know her better; when she did leave us I was only 10 years old (I think) and therefore didn't really get a chance to speak to her properly like I can now.
I never got to meet her husband; my grandpa, either, because he died of some incurable disease when he was just 40, long before I was born - Which I think was also cancer.
So that goes to show. I wish I had gotten to know my grandma better now.
If anybody still has grandparents, and you have a chance to visit them, don't pass it over, you might think it will be boring - but trust me, it'll be worth it.
You don't really appreciate anything until it is gone, then that makes you realise what a fool you've been.
My dads parents (my other grandparents) live in the Northern Ireland, and me, living in London, means that I don't get very many chances you see them. But when I do, I make the most of it, I'm not going to make the same mistake twice.
Thanks for reading - I hope this takes an effect on you.
