1) Do you think a life sentence, should mean life?
2) Do you think it is wrong for the tax payer to have to pay out money on keeping people in jail when the money could be used for the NHS, school etc?
3) Do you think it's right for the Bulger killers to be released?
4) Do you think it's right for the Bulger killers to go into a kind of protective custody, have plastic surgery, have all their names changed, new passports etc when it's alleged it could cost the tax payer 1.5 million pounds?
5) Do you think we should have the death penalty?
Thanks.
Prisoners can know get treated like royalty with access to Playstations and three meals a day - Where is the justice in that??
The law in this country has totaly lost the plot - What happened to the good old days where prisoners where actually punished for there crimes??
Nowadays you are better off with a crimainal record than anyone else!! Whats happened to the world - Its just gone mad!!
It is meant to be Serviced or survived on question 4!
1)I believe that u should serve life if u have killed someone and u should not be able get out in 25 years on behaving well in jail.
2) Yes we should pay for jails in are tax because otherwise where would we raise the money to build or maintain these jails. Also if we did not pay for jails in are tax, where would we house them. Also are tax is paying for the workers jobs in jail.
3)It is a hard question to answer because the sentence which they were given was to them was 8 years until the lord chief justice put it up to 12 years after the European Court of Human Justice took an appeal. So in theory they have they have not served thge full punishment and i believe that if you commit a murder u should serve your sentence out even if it is too short or too long inthe media's eyes.
So i think they should both go into adult jail for another 5 years and hopefully the experience that they have will spoil their lifes for the rest of their life. Like they spoiled the life of the family bulgers!
4) I know not many of the public will agree with me but i think they should have plastic surgery, new id's etc., when they come out.
This is because they have survived their time which was set to them. And hopefully the experiences of what they have had to go through will reck there lifes so they will never be able to have 'normal' life ever!
5)The death penalty should not be used because there is no way to prove 100% that someone is guilty of a crime.
That is why the UK removed the death penalty becuase they could not prove 100% that the suspect was guilty. People say that DNA is 100% fool prove but they are wrong DNA is 99% right most of the time, and 1% can mean life or death.
Anyway the time we will be judged is when we die, whether we go to Heaven or Hell. God Decides, Not Us!
I feel that if someone is 100% guilty, and there can be no room for error, why should the tax payer have to fork out to keep them in prison when the money could be better spent on the NHS and education etc and the person could just be put to death?
In relation to the rail disaster i think it is ridiculous that no one is to be blames. I feel this could go on and on like the Hillsborough tragedy did.
The fact they might be released is taking the pi** out of the law and what does that say to future killers - That crime does pay!! Murder someone and you are made for life - Sod the law, it sucks!!
Where is the punishment ?
Also in the news this week is the inquiry into the Ladbrook Rd train disaster (Paddington). It seems likely that no individual or company is going to be held responsible for the deaths of 31 passengers. How can this be the case when it is now known that the signal had been missed by several drivers before hand because of it's positioning ?. The train operators knew there was a problem but choose to ignore it and that was the direct cause of the disaster. I therefore can not see how there is no accountability.
The family of Jamie Bulgar and the families of the Paddington rail disaster victims DESERVE justice. Sadly it seems that in both cases this will not be delivered.
> Do you think a life sentence, should mean life?
Yes, if u take life then u should be given life.
2) Do you think

No becasue jail is a public service in a sense. Its keeps the law breakers away from us. In theory anyway.
3) Do you think it's right for the Bulger killers to be
> released?
Yes, they were very young when they commited this crime. I'm not defending them but becasue they were so young i believe they must have changed by now.

No they should just be deported instead.
5) Do you think we should
> have the death penalty?
