Doing this is just being pure greedy, exploiting the same pitch used in the game to gain millons more dough. I don't blame them for this, but if the end result is somefin reallllly crap and boring, then they should be shot. Some ideas and game storylines just haven't received the credit they should have got because of a dire film, which usually ends up showing on sky moviemax about 10 weeks after its release. That wing commander film was pretty s***e - anyone think of any other films that deserve this accolade? I'm not saying that games shouldn't be converted to films - i think its a great idea, IF ITS DONE WELL. That Tomb Raider film will ultimately end in a couple more sequels to the game, unfortunatly. Some games could be turned into great movies. Imagine, say a Half-life film, or maybe a command and conquer film. Or Grand Theft Auto, like a kind of gangster movie. That would be cool.
Also, imagine a conversion of Theme Hospital - class or wot?

This is true. I do have an advanced knowledge of the final fantasy series but my weakest is FF9 so if anyone wants to know anything or your stuck just ask, I'll be glad to help!

I agree but what are your opinions on the Final Fantasy movie, do you think that is a good idea or do you think they should just stick to games not the movies?
