it may be old news to some of you clowns, but I'm dead thick y'see.
Looks very different to the older titles - let's just hope they don't change it too much and ruin what was so good about the series. Although the old combat system was a bit pants, so I hope that's had an overhaul.
Another reason to update my rickety old PC.
still, different horses for different courses.

I didn't like them, not one bit. And for all the whoo haa the developers made about the improved combat system, I thought it was dreadful. Still that's me, and I loved Settlers 2, excellent game.
And as for the newer ones being naff, I don't agree! For a start they removed that god-awful road building that took up about 50% of the playing time. In the fourth settlers the people make their own roads. I'm not sure I was into the whole magic/worshipping thing, I prefer the good old fashioned realistic economy of the earlier titles.
Still, it's one game that I've always loved - hell you can even play that game with no enemies on and just get enjoyment out of creating an efficient and productive economy.
Fighting was never much fun anyway - half the time fights seemed to be completely down to chance. I hope they rectify this, and make it far more hands on and realistic.
