I was looking at CoD (Call of Duty) in GAME today and was thinking about buying it, seeing as it is only £20 and i have some cash at the moment. But i was wondering if it would eat my computers resources so much that the game would not be playable. I seem to be within the minimum specs but it looks quite a power thirsty game. Here are my specs:

800Mhz AMD Duron Processor
64MB Graphics Card
327MB Ram
The other bits and bobs which wont affect gameplay, and i have a Broadband Connection.

So...do you think i can play it on this computer or will it suffer? I dont mind turning some features off etc.
Also what is it like as a game? Are there complete n00bs online that ruin it?

Thanks for your time.

Should be, it uses the same, slightly improved graphics engine, I don't see why you'd have trouble with if you can run CoD.

It looks as though there are some new, big improvements and features for the forthcoming expansion pack, which is out this month. That too is looking like a fine addition with bigger battles spanning more operation during the second World War.

I can't wait for the battle of Kursk as the Russian, the biggest tank battle in the entire war, should be intense.

Finally got it on Friday. Great single player and multi-player action, the more people on a server the better.
Apart from the servers where scopes are disabled, they're crap! :(

Quality is the right word, I don't usually go for the CS type game modes that COD has, but in this occasion I found it to be quite addictive. The expansion pack (developed by the team who made the popular free multiplayer mod Enemy Territory) will even have online tanks battles.

It certainly is, the Pegasus Bridge and most of the Stalingrad levels rank as some of the finest levels in any FPS I have ever played. Personally I can't wait for COD 2, which I think was just recently announced.

FPSs; Warcraft, Cossacks - all require low specs but still run ok. And a great multiplayer experience to boot.

Get it, best WWII game around, and the expansion is out soon which, I think at least, could actually be better than the full game. Well from the video's I've seen anyway, but the scale has been upped for some huge looking battles.

The original is worth buying for the Russian campaign alone, though the American and British campaigns also feature some excellent levels. A bit short though, still, I’ve played through it three times already.
