ok heres what you do

call the sony helpline on 08705 998877 (I think)
tell um that you have bought Formula 1 2000 for the ps2 and when you play the game, you press X to accelerate and it reaches 120 mph before slowly decreasing in speed (even though your finger is still pressing on the X button). You then tell them thatn you have got no other games (cos they will probably ask you if you have) and you say that you have tried using your mates dual shock 2 controller and it works perfectly! They will then put you through to technical dept and they will chat with you for a bit before telling you that they are gonna send out a new controller to you and it will be there within 3-5 working days!!!!

there ya go, simple innit!

&y Why do you keep wanting people to get free controllers off Sony? Yesterday you were telling people to just say that they want a controller for free, and now your trying to get people to lie about their controller working. WHY!?

I already have 4 pads, and if you use the analogue it works fine, so there, bah humbug!!!

Or rather, you're saying it, and they're believing you ;-). Either way, it's a Sony game, so good on you!

Sounds very much like the problem that's come up a couple of times before on the forum (one is a thread I started). Except in my case, the speed stays around 120, rather than decreasing. It seems to be a problem with mixing analog and digital controls (this includes using digital controls, and slightly nudging the analog controls obviously). If it happens, nudge the right stick, and it tends to rectify the problem (till the next time at least). So Sony are saying this is a controller, rather than a game problem?

Hi, this is a very devious attitude, but if your pad genuinely don't work then you should I guess! Is this a real fault in the game? Good post. I am putting my PlayStation 2 review on ok. thanks.
