Right my computer has been badly affected by Spy ware and Ive tried alot of the free SPyware remover programmes however none of them have succesfully removed it.
I think I might have more luck if I manually go in to the msconfig and regedit programmes and try to delete it from there. i dont have a clue what to look for or how to do it though and I was wonderng if anyone knows any sites with good advice or who have any personal help they could give me...

Cheers, already got Winmx but I did use to ahev Kazaa and realised the damage it causes too late. My firewalls or something still arnt letting me access all the servers on call of duty on gamespy.
If you use or have used Kaaza (free edition), then you almost certainly have, or would have had ad-software on your computer as it installs this to ‘keep it free’, which is why you get stupid casino pop ups every 20 seconds. I’ve switched to Win MX, looks a bit rubbish but has no ad-software, lots of media and its quicker to download (the application). If you wish to download this, get it from www.winmx.com, and make sure its from here because some other web sites try to hook you up to a dialler to download it, but it is free from the official site.
On to the question on firewalls. I use zone alarm and did you say your computer would not let you dial up to a game over the net? With zone alarm, when a program say Msn Messenger tries to access the internet, a little box comes up telling you that msn messenger.exe is trying to do this, and you click on deny or ok (although it might be accept). You can also remember the setting, so you only have to do this once, and this may be useful with your network game as you will be able to play it but still have the protection of the firewall. The advantage of this? You won’t get diallers and other little nastys from the net (if you have broadband, no worry, dialers can only work through modems but make sure you have unplugged your telephone cable, if you have a modem in your computer). You can get a free version of zone alarm, which I have and it is fine from [URL]http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/catalog/products/sku_list_za.jsp[/URL] , just make sure you click on the free version as the ‘pro’ one you have to pay for.
To search and get rid of ad-software, I find the best to be ad-aware. You can download a personal version from [URL] http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ [/URL] , and once installed, you just have to do a complete search, see what it comes up with, select it and click something along the lines of next to get rid of them.
Sorry if this post is long and at some points off the subject, I just feel that you should fully protect your computer as the Internet has some pretty horrible stuff on it. Also, if you haven’t already, get Avg anti-virus from [URL]http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/[/URL]. Its once again free, although you have to register with an email address so they can send you a personal serial for activating Avg 6.0.
Ps: Quite a few search boxes have anti pop up functions, if you need one, get a useful one, such as Google or Msn, that actually have a use

As I said, there's no point, DSO exploit is part of the Internet Settings data. You'll also find that removing them, and then starting IE, will redirect you to the msn homepage, and not your selected one. Adaware will reveal no spyware after a scan, as it doesn't recognise it spyware.

Try the Google toolbar, which is a highly effective pop up bloker. Alternatively, try out Mozilla Firefox, which in conjunction with the Adblock extension, is extremely good at blocking pop ups.

hmmm if that prgram that keep coming back is accessing the internet then go for Zone Alarm as that give you the option to block it.
Ad Aware is no doubt around for free somewhere (try some PC mag websites).

That one spyware is unavoidable, it's part of Internet Explorer. I'm guessing you mean the "Alexa" tag, with 5 entries?
