When i as litle and playing my master system I often wondered about the future of gaming. Not whether it will exist in 20 years but what changes there will be and how different it will become. When I am older I won't be one of those old men who hate technology but I will buy consoles still and play games and if you saw the back of the official DC mag earlier in the month you would have seen the 80 year old who loves her DC!

Anyway Back to the topic. I thought that we would have virtual reality suits or ports where you dive into to get to the game inside. But the one thing I was looking forward to most is the idea of having glasses to wear instead of the Television to look at. This would be excellent and you could just slip them on and play while your friends make fun of your facial expression while play games resident evil or Quake 3. this would be the life for me and I would just sit there all day.

There are already head gear to wear which costs aroun £299 and are a bit basic now. But is it worth it? NO! I dont think anyone would pay that much for a pair of specs and in a way i imagined the future of gaming a bit better.
Well I expect and hope that the future of gaming will vastly change and for new gadgets on the market to become more common and cheap and so it won't be a few little accessories but ACTUAL GAMING altogether.

Well heres to the future of peripherals of gaming...

And gaming it self.

Ah, but it goes both ways Grix.

Not you personally, but I remember many people insulting the PS2 without any proof.

Also, Turbo, does the 'WaveBird (a crappy name), really do that?!? Lol!

I wouldn't go in for VR. As I see it now, my fingers are my ally and I will die with a joypad in my hands. In games, I am not restricted by the physical strenght of my muscles, but with the advent of VR, I would be.

I will keep my Dual Shock 2, thankyouverymuch.

I think that virtual reality will be the futre of gaming. It should be like when you get in a suite you can move around, and when you lift your real arm your arm on the game also moves up.
