1. How do you purchase your music? Are you buying CDs and ripping them? Are you buying them from the iTunes store or other online stores like Amazon?

I think iTunes use acc format, is it any better than mp3? I did think iTunes was DRM free but I noticed something about 5 computer limit, does Amazon have such restrictions too?

2. Like smoking and drinking I never took up listening to music. Sure I liked the odd song I would hear once in awhile, but I never went out of my way to listen to music, which I guess is strange as I seem to appreciate all genres of music from classical to blues, country to Jpop. Oh and movie soundtracks.

So can you guys recommend any songs, artists, soundtracks or albums? What are you listening to at the moment? How big is your music collection?

Thanks in advance.

I still prefer to have hard copies of my music (CD) so buy from Amazon.

Unless there's a one-off track I fancy purchasing...that normally comes from an Amazon download.

Apple's Itunes is not DRM free unfortunately and does only let you use your Itunes music on up to 5 PCs. Once you've authorised 5 PCs, you can reset the authorisations so that you can authorise a new machine. I often download the singles of the week from Itunes though, seeing as they're free.

Thanks pb, I'll check them out :)

I'm surprised no one else listens to any music. Where's Nin when I need him, he was our music expert.

Mainly use Amazon and 7 Digital, plus Tesco Digital occasionally (though they're currently undergoing maintenance). They're all DRM free and you can use them on any MP3 player but they tend to be quite cheap for some albums, even getting newer stuff for £4-£5

Recently downloaded couple of Snow Patrol (cheap on Amazon), Florence and the Machine, new Muse album.
