Thanks for the idea, Goatboy!!!!

Any takers on this subject?

For me, i think Kirk has a wicked sense of humour. He often combined irony with cool delivery that left his victim with little or nothing to reply back with. His only foil was Spock, who`s logical approach to humour soured the best put-downs or mickey-takes that Kirk and even McCoy could offer.

Picard doesn`t look like a happy man. I suspect humour is difficult for him, especially as Riker takes all the credit for playing the fool, Data is unintentionally funny and who would try to joke with Worf??. Is it because the Borg removed his humour when he was assimulated? Maybe Q could help him get it back.

Sisko - now this is another dark horse. I think he comes across as calm, efficient and a exemplary StarFleet Officer, but he can also be the "naughty little schoolboy". Just take a look at when he played the Vulcans at baseball on the holosuite, and the way he manipulates Garak when needed.

Janeway, well she has got humour, anyone who can put up with Neelix on board their ship has got to at least see the funny side. Although i suspect a bigger laugh will come when he gets flushed out into space during a freak airlock accident. Janeway teases everyone. Tuvok, Chakotay, Paris, B`lanna, The Doctor and Seven, but no-one has she teased longer than Harry Kim. This poor kid is STILL an ensign despite being a bridge officer and having nearly 7 years experience in hostile space!.

Right, thats started the ball rolling...

OKAY!!!!
You`ve got me on all counts there!

Although getting my mates to call me Captain is fine, the lycra bit is too much. You have`nt seen my mates...!

I might be a sad, hopeless Trekkie at heart, but at least i`m harmless.

Live long and prosper, my friend!
