I've owned a number of consoles in my life, (NES, SNES, PSX etc.) and the same thing happened with them all. Months after I got them, the number of games released started to decrease, slowly but surely. There was all the hype of a new, latest technology system that was gonna come out and would but fantastic and everything like that but every time the manufacturer said "WE WILL KEEP PRODUCING GAMES FOR THE OLDER CONSOLE" and guess what? Not once has this been true. When I had my NES and SNES I was well into Nintendo and I wouldn't hear a bad word said against them. I was sure the N64 would be better than the PSX and started to save up my pennys (hey, I'd need plenty). But at around about the same time I got my own PC. That was it. Sod the rest I needed all the time and cash for this beast.
I've had my PC for about 6 or 7 years now and although it's been upgraded a few times it's been easier than buying a new console every five minutes anyway. In these years I've seen many a console come and go (Megadrive, N64, Saturn, Dreamcast, Playstation and now the Playstation 2) and I've know i'd never give my PC up for anything. Anyway, how many console's can you do your homework on? :-)

Well.. thanks for telling us :P
Sure, maybe when you wanna have a game with your mates the console may be better but have you ever played games across a LAN? It'll blow the N64 out of the water. It truely is great fun. Also, what if your friend lives 50 miles away? Send him an e-mail and get online. I only have a 56kbps modem and I have great fun playing online. Sure, lag can be annoying but it still doesn't take away from the experience.
Since I wrote the first message I've played on a mates PS2. I was really disappointed. It played worse than my PC. The graphics aren't great, loading times are forever and above all, there aren't any games I like for it.
You stick to your console and I'll stick to my PC.
