why cant people just enjoy a game for its gameplay. i was talking to some of my friends about this but they said that they would only buy a game based on the graphics. if this sort of thing goes on we will soon be using our own memory to cont rol ourselves in totally boring games that have absoloutely amazing graphics. its becoming rediculous!

Excluding the punctuation, I agree with your sentiments. My favourite game at the moment is an old Z-Machine - style title (i.e. no graphics) called Teddy Bear's Picnic!

Or, then again, maybe not.. :-)
