It's time for me to be scared, very scared. Amoung my friends i have a reputation of being one of the most tight people with money ever, but i also love computer games, and now i have a dilemma. With the imminent uk release of the game boy advance it seems i will have to open my purse strings, undo the padlock and blow the dust off my cash to get it on release, but im having second thoughts, what if this turns out to be the new millennium's version of the virtual boy, because if it is i will be one hundred quid plus out of pocket if you add the cost of a game. Does anyone remember the virtual boy? For those who dont, its a fat piece of trash with about 11 games for, which you have to lie flat on your back to play and it leaves marks on your eyes after prolonged use. People go on about nintendo making the most successful hand held console ever and its true the gameboy is amazingly popular, with millions of people playing one of the 4 versions worldwide ( yes 4, the original game boy, game boy pocket, game boy colour and the super game boy.)and im hoping that nintendo can repeat this. The games also, all of the ones ive seen are just remakes of old snes and nes games apart from kuri kuri thingygummybob which i wouldnt get anyway, but maybe im being harsh. These games were amazing when they were out and the thought of playing a remake of mario 2 is a wicked thought, as all of my friends and I saw the adverts and took a trip down memory lane thinking how princess was always the player of choice as she could fly on her skirt. The powerful ad campaign as well is slowly convincing me to purchase this nostalgia box so i am putting this question to the public, however you tell me what to do, so please reply and give me your opinion.

Oh and if someone says princess isnt the best on mario 2, you tell me who is.

Well in Japan the thing was a huge success. It sold by the bucket loads and people were queing in the early hours to get their hands on one. I think it got released in the USA today, i'm sure the thing well be a success there and over here. There have been loads of pre-orders for it, and there is probably gonna be a shortage of them. So if you want one, go and order one quick!

There are loads of games in development for it, and one thing i have noticed is that nintendo seem to concentrating on thier handhelds more than thier consoles.
