I know that many of you will have bought a PS2 as soon as it came out. For £300! That really is a lot of money. And now, the big price cut....down to £270. What I am driving at is - how much money are we prepared to spend on games consoles and computers? I know it's easier to buy a PC, because you can fool yourself that you're going to do work on it, but my PC is really just a glorified games-playing machine - and despite the fact that it's only a few years old, I'm beginning to think that I need a new one to play classics like Black and White. Where will the curtain come down, and when can we start to get cheaper games and machines?

I spent £370 on my PC, getting a motherboard, memory, CPU etc, last summer, haven't spent a penny since then, why?? Because whats the point when I can buy a whole PS2 for £300, which I did on launch day!!

He's on to me....

Anyway, I don't think £300 is really excessive, is it?

Considering that it's also a DVD Player, it's not a bad price.

Mind you, it's £300 more than I've got right now so I'll wait, and save for a Gamecube....

I agree, a PC and a GBA, is the answer (plus an N64 and a shed load of second hand games).

Give that man some ham... and NOT cheese or bananas...

If anyone offers you cheese and bananas smack them... Ham and Pineapple is much better...
