Received the Mech Assault limited edition pack from the US the other day and despite playing it when it first came out I never really gave it a second thought. The last couple of days I have been playing through the single player on Elite and I have to say, what a great hella fun or as normal people might say, top stuff.

Rather than having to think about the game I can sit down lob it on, crank the sub up and play something that requires very little thought yet is still a fantastic game to play. A lot of the critics said it was a boring shoot fest that basically ripped you through identically looking environments whilst holding one button. Granted it doesn't offer a great deal of variation but it is a difficult, highly enjoyable and bloody good looking game.

Anyone still play this on LIVE? Wouldn't mind having a bash on that later on.

Main point though, give it a shot, love or hate, I love it!

Top stuff. Managed to get my head around the uber geeks on LIVE. Haven't been on LIVE for bloody ages aside from a couple of days back so I had forgotten how c*ck faced the majority of Americans really are.

Hedfix, managed to find some top Mechs that are actually pretty damn good. From 0 to 1 kill a round I now manage between 5 and 10 which is an improvement. Good fun to play though even with only 4 vs 4 it offers some excellent blast em up style play.

Both on and offline it is shaping up to be a real quality title, should have bought it earlier.

No sign of Mech 2 having a first person view though.
