Great game. Really liking the whole gameplay experience, nice and action orientated but not dumbed-down. The winback-style aiming is superb. The graphics are damn sweet - I can see myself replaying this about as many times as I've replayed Halo (and that's a lot). Really looking forward to unlocking extra things. The sniping if absolutely ****hot, the shotgun is fantastic and I fell in love with the pistol the first time I fired it.
I like the upgradeable weapons (always like a spot of upgrading to make exploration worthwhile).
I have a couple of niggles with the game though: The AI can screw up every-so-often with enemies getting stuck behind bits of open doors (despite not being zombies!), making them walk over mantraps doesn't set them off (I was looking forward to watching the writhe around but they just walked over it) and I'd like the option to be able to run/move faster when there aren't any enemies around because exploration is a tad too slow for my liking.
Oh and it seems there's only one way to slash with the knife no matter how you try to attempt to angle the swing.
Those are very minor things though that don't taint the overall experience.
I've just finished 1-2 so I've got a long way to go. Shooting fish and grabbing them to use them to replenish your health is a genius idea too. All these little touches are damn good.
Don't give anything away to me please. :)
Oh and put a co-op mode in number 5 please Capcom!
Doh!
Even better. :)
Not being able to pick up your enemies' weapons (I just killed some guy who had a chainsaw but I can't pick it up and use it, and the first guy you kill in the game: I so wanted to pick that axe up and start hacking away!)
Also it would be quite nice to be able to crouch/wallhug with the press of a button rather than only being able to crouch at very specific spots.
