Now the problem is this: any link provided on MSN chat brings up the stubborn BT window which refuses to let me log-in (despite already being logged in via the start menu - and no the problem doesn't come from me already being logged in) and this is the way my FTP program wants to go too.
Question is: how do I redirect my FTP program (and MSN, links-wise) into using the basic (start menu) connection and not bringing up the stubborn BT interface?

Broadband.
I might give that a go then.
How do I connect using just the modem and drivers then?
I was having problems with bt a while ago, every link I clicked on didnt work or crashed the internet. I just uninstalled everything BT and then re-installed. Worked since.
i.e. Modem? Router? Wireless?
How, too - Ethernet, USB?
