I'm a huge res fan (my name) but i've written little on the subject,The idea of a film has been around for years and now it seems that it's actually getting done.
The person who made most of the video clips for Resident evil was originaly going to direct the film but he was fired because he couldn't make a good enough script.
Can you imagine an enture film like the startup of the first Resident evil, This would be outstanding and anyone who's seen the uncut version (just say if you want the link) will know that it's gory as hell. From what I've seen of this film it may give the Biohazzard series a bad name.
They're more interested in M.Jovovich looking sexy in the RE outfits (cool though) than making her look like one of STARS members.
She's a great actress and made Luc Besson's fifth element a masterpiece but i think the people behind the scenes need to shape up a bit.

This film will be fantastic providing that it is gory on the scale of a Lucio Fulci film. If they try and turn it into a high grossing blockbuster it will be very watered down. The fact that they have Milla J. does suggest a bit of the latter. Lipstick adverts - terrifying :o) Hopefully they won't mess it up - when is it due?
M. Jovovich looks rather nice but Im afraid the film will suck - Ive never held out much hope for this movie ever since the director was announced!!
Its a real shame because they could really have made good use of the license but it will be as bad as the Street Fighter movie was!!
