After developing my passion for games that involve vehicles and cricuits (Sad I know) I thought I'd create a thread dedicated to racing games (I'm bored yes)

Today's Topic: PGR2 or TOCA 2

Discuss...

As far as realism goes, Mcrae is superior, although I concede the feeling of speed is not great, and I suppose if you're not into real life rally, then the lack of opponent cars can be dull.

Being a rally fan, I love it.

What about cheap racing games (under £20)?

TD Overdrive isn't bad, though I found it quite difficult (maybe because I'm crap at it?) Nice split screen action too.

Ford Racing 2 - rather overlooked racer with lots of challenges and nice tracks, plus online racing mode and downloadable content. Not bad for £15

Speed Kings - Like Burnout on Bikes (of the motor variety). Not bad again, nothing to set the world alight, but some nice speed blurring effects and fast gameplay.

Never liked McRae, very dull.

Rallisport Challenge.

Colin Mcrae bores the hell out of me, it was okay for one game but they've barely changed anything since 3 so I really can't be bothered anymore.

I just got Colin Mcrae 4 recently and I must say it's a quality title.

PGR2 short? A huge single player, especially if you do all the modes and medals, along with multiplayer mean it is huge. Throw in Live, along with its weekly challenges and it is a never ending game.

I feel insulted! Driving games are great!

PGR2, was too short. The test track and showroom however was great. I havn't played Toca 2 but Toca 1 is still offering me hours of entertainment. The speed, the realism and the absense of a stupid honking sound when I crash is refreshing
