There is no way the WLT can fill the memory as the actually query to the database can only return 25 results. That's why there's only 25 posts per page!

Well, the nice people at SR think "Oh look, this hard drive is getting quite full, lets stick another one in". Voila, server carries on as normal. Actually, depending on their setup, it might need a restart..so a whole 30 seconds downtime?

It will never happen.
The server only retrieves 25 posts at a time, so there's no way it will use up too much memory.
There could possibly be a time where they run out of hard disk space, but I doubt it.

Depends on the os/hardware...Windows tends to look at the huge amounts of data and fall over on itself, Linux takes it in its stride...great for servers, but a lot of hassle for most other things.
