Played Crystal Chronicles today seems quite fun apart from it's graphical style and the music. The gameplay was good but I can't stand the presentation it's highly annoying.

Indeed I'd expect some serious DS coverage... an early Revolution game... failing that a late Gamecube one.

Never mind, now that Square and Ninty are back as good friends we'll see plenty of FF titles being churned out.

1-2 Dawn of Souls is already scedhuled for Christmas and there is going to be a Crystal Chronicles series on the DS. Plus there are rumoure of a FF 7,8 and 9 package on the 'Cube.

Personally, I would love Square to tart up some of their SNES Classics, like Evermore and Chrono Trigger, and put them onto 'Cube.

Oh, how I missed Square...

It reminded me of the more elaborate Bomberman titles. :S

The graphics are absolutely but the music is terrible - the medieval style bagpipes did my head in. And the hack/slash/hack/slash uninspiring combat.
I wanted more of a storyline to the game, hell - having one at all might have been nice. Still, I've got Skies for that anyday.

That's a perfectly valid point. It didn't put me off too much.

The graphics were very charming and the music very good if you ask me.

The gameplay was pretty good, but that Moogle got on my nipples I swear, and don't get me started on the battle system.

'Look, there's a giant green monster thing trying to eat me.

'Isn't there a special move or killer combo you can use Kupo? Maybe a special weapon?'

Nope. Looks like I'll have to take my life into my own hands and slash the thing to death.'

Jesus...

I did, mainly because I'd played it for a good 3 hours solidly with my Final Fantasy nut of a mate Ian and loved every minute. The game was bliss. The fourth hour wasn't as good and slowly but surly we began playing Pacman Vs. (a magnificent game indeed) and then he buggered off. The game has been gathering dust since and I don't even use the lead as I had one in the first place.

Nevermind, maybe time away from the game will make me appreciate it more when I go back to it. A bit like Harvest Moon did. I enjoy going back to that after a month, I leave it just as it starts getting boring and then I go back to it and love it again.

Those that have given up with Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon I recommend going back to it after a while. You'll find it just as charming as before.

The game is refreshing, especially in multiplayer for a several hours. But after a while it does get a little repetitive and I can't play it for long.

I found the presentation amazing yet I have no preference on the score.

It's the opposite for me. I find the graphical style and score quite charming, but the gameplay dull and repetitive.
