Firstly, Full Spectrum Warrior.
Played the Xbox version to death, loved it, wondered how it could get any better and here it is. All the functions are there including online CO-OP, new difficulty level "Authentic" which is considerably more challenging than Sergeant Major difficulty which was the toughest on the Xbox. Visually the game is clearer, sharper and the physics are a lot tighter. There are also more enemy placements which could be due to the upgrade in difficulty, certainly adds more intensity to an already very atmospheric game.
For the CO-OP you can host a game with a server name and password so it is pi** easy to find your friends game. Would definitley be up for some CO-OP if anyone else already has the PC version. So far an improvement on the Xbox version, not massively better but it was clearly suited best for the PC platform, vastly sharper visuals, runs extremely well on the beast, not sure how it would run on slower PC's on top settings but no complaints from my end, couple of new missions available for Xbox download on LIVE soon but included as standard in the PC version, extra difficulty, you can skop MOUT Training on the PC version.
Top stuff!
Second game, Counter-Strike: Source...
Any complaints? Nope. If this is a middle of the road Beta Build then I can't wait for the full release. The physics are astounding, as are the weapon renders. Character models will no doubt be done up as you can't choose your skin, a few memory read errors which they have already fixed. Runs like a dream on top settings.
p.s - Spikecast- no College/Football tonight so when I have done with work you up for a game?
Two top draw titles, one I was already aware of and the other it didn't surprise me. Just waiting on Half Life 2 now ;)
> It works with full details and no frame rate drops on my 9600.
On 1280 x 1024 with high everything 8x AA and Ax AF and still maintaining a 60 + FPS rate? Very impressed...
Brilliant.
Quickly got boring though, but brilliant while it lasted.
Still, co-op sounds interesting, though I still can't see it being a full priced purchase for me, especially with all the games I currently have.
