I've always been a Sony fan. I always prefered the games on offer on the PS 1&2. Today, however, I was told about this new Xbox game called Fabel. I like the sounds of it so I'm considering buying an Xbox, Just for this one game, cos i dont really know what other games are on offer.
What I want to know is, what are the classic games that I should get with it? Every console has them. The only classic game I know of on Xbox is Halo. So tell me a handful of decent titles AND why they are good.
two more questions:
* Is GTA San Andreas likely to come to Xbox and when?
* Is house of the dead 3 any good?
Edit:- Are there any decent multi player games that are not on Live?

500k broadband, and I suppose using a two month free trial is free. But it's worth the £40 a year. Easily.

I would say that wihtout Live the Xbox suffers hugely. Having said that, I've only been playing Morrowind on it, BUT games like JSRF, Rallisport 2 etc aren't to everybody's tastes, and they aren't as good as some other games around. Offline you do have KOTOR, Ninja Gaiden etc, but seriously, Live is the best thing the Xbox has, by far.

Apparently Xbox versions are better then PS2.
All the Fifa's, Hawks, Burnouts, and most multi format games are better then PS2 alternatives. Plus some have added extra of Live.

I'd agree with everything Tilta already listed and add Crimson Skies and XIII to that. Both are Live enabled, but are great fun even without. Burnout 3 isn't an exclusive either, but is pretty good. Top Spin, Amped, ESPN NHL Hockey, Morrowind, TimeSplitters 2 - all good games that don't need Live to be good.
And of course PES4 is on its way.
