Say I have a price in a cell, £1.36 for example. How would I round it to the closest 10p, in this case £1.40?

Help please.

If you want to do it in a number of cells highlight them, right click your mouse button and choose "format cells". Choose currency from the list, choose £ and then choose "to 1 decimal place".

I'm such a 'tard. I had:

=ROUND(D16+0.05+1,2)

Instead of:

=ROUND(D16+0.05+1,1)

Crisis over.

Use the ROUND function to round up or down as appropriate.

=ROUND(number, num_digits)

number = the number you want to round.

num_digits = the number of decimal places.




If you want to round upwards every time, use the ROUNDUP function which works in the same way.

There's a function which rounds a number to the nearest whole number. I can't remember if you can use this to set a degree of accuracy, but I think it's MOD. and I'm not 100% sure of that either. Sorry. I know it's something like that.
