My adapter for my laptop (ie. the things that powers it from the mains) keeps bloody going off and on which leads to the screen flickering as for some reason it goes brighter when plugged into the mains.

All it is every does is sit on my desk so I see no reason how I've damaged it. Could it be an internal problem or should I just get a new one? :(

Hmmm now I'm sure it is an internal problem.

Inside the laptop was bleeping and the screen flashing in pulses :(
Which means I'll probably need to go home and get my crap then send it off.

Could be a power intake problem, my missus laptop developed the same problem, but it was still under warranty so they fixed it. Then as soon as the warranty ran out (about two months later) the screen broke...but that's another story...umm yeah, Power Intake, could be....

This is really puzzling me.

When I move the wire about at any point it doesn't affect the connection at all. It just seems random, it happened suddenly and I'm starting to wonder if the power supply at the wall is weird but that is probably impossible.

I'm trying to send and e-mail to technical people but I don't have the details of serial number, date of purchase whatever.

Mine does the same, when the lead comes out it goes into power save mode so the screen dulls a bit.

WIth mine I have to find the right angle that it works at and just leave it there. Might be a problem with a loose conection within the lead or it might be with the back of the laptop itself.

My suggestion would be if it charges if you move the wire about to get the right position then leave it.
Otherwise look at getting a new power charger cable.
