It really does have everything, which makes it difficult to put the film into a specific category. I suppose it's an action-based, "we're gonna go and get revenge by whatever means necessary" thing, but it's full of great comedy one-liners, and I almost shed a tear at one point (awwww!)
Mark Wahlberg produces a brilliant performance as one of the Mercer brothers, and is probably the star of the show. Admittedly, it's quite amusing to see how poor the policing must be for everyone to get away with so much obvious crime, but y'know what, this is Detroit man! Yeah!
Anyway, I can't be bothered to write a massive review or anything, this is simply a recommendation. Double thumbs and big toes up for Four Brothers, definitely one I'm going to be bagging on DVD in a few months.
This is what I thought:
" went to watch this today with a couple of mates. It's suprisingly good actually, I wasn't expecting much, just an average film with a basic storyline. Well, the storyline was pretty basic, but the whole film was very entertaining and I liked it very much.
Theres a few comedy parts, a few serious parts and the rest is just explaining the story and action scenes"
