uhh do a cover letter explaining about why you want the job and why they should take you. Then on the CV itself just start with qualifications (GCSEs then A-Levels), then list previous employment/experience (don't forget some refs with contact numbers) and uhh that's about all I do.*

I suppose you could list your favourite cartoons or something as well.

*I've never written a CV, the only job I've ever applied for was at Sainsburys and they give you a form to fill out. But that's what I remeber from careers at school.

Start with your name at the top
Then under that have info like your address, date of birth, phone number, e-mail etc

Then have an objective - just a single statement as to the type of job you are after and why.

Then have a summary, just a paragraph that gives an overview of the type of person you are.
Then have your education info. So list your degree qualification then school exam results.
Then you list your work experience - starting with the most recent job you have had.

Then you have a part from your interests and skills. - Just what you like and any skills you have (drivers license, pc software you can use etc)
Then you have some referees details.

Thats the layout I have fro mine, can sometimes leave some parts out or add in extra parts.
