Ahaha, it'll be an hour long and end on a lousy cliffhanger - like Halo 2!

Very interesting. I've always thought the Halo games have a very good plot, and the second one was a very deliberate attempt to push the idea that games are becoming a worthy hybrid of literature and film set-pieces.

The first video game to movie adaptation that actually might work well?

I'm particularly interested in this project as it's probably the closest I'll get to seeing a Iain M Banks movie, his books of which Bungie were heavily influenced by particularly in regards look, feel and motivations of races.
