Well, I've done a website, just wondering what you fella's think of it. Didn't take long to do, I did it for my brother, and it's still unfinished, but it's got a basic layout and things and I think it looks pretty good (the logo was done by someone else though), or at least by myy standards anyway.

I haven't had a chance to test it on other browsers, so if anything looks crappy, twould be nice to know. :D

I've always had this fascination with stones. Whether it's the casual but good looking trousers I wear, or the common weekend expression, stones have played an integral part in my life. And now, a site to celebrate them. Top marks.

All good except for the line of bricks at the bottom, which don't look out of place, but just don't look like they should really be there.

I agree with Damarus on the Brick thing.

Have a look at http://hicksdesign.com, the way he has 50% opacity white backgrounds, rather than 100% white or 100% brick. Just to clarify: a semi-transparent white box ontop of the brick background would look neat.

Neat.

Another thing, the image to the right of the main text would look better with a 1px border, something like:

img {
border:1px solid #ddd;
padding:5px;
}

Which would be neat, too.

I don't like the footer and the hover over links being the brick texture.

In the portfolio with Firefox the large image is positioned wrong. Also, you need to manually make thumbnails rather than letting the browser do it as they appear jaggy.

IE has horrible black borders where as it doens't in Firefox.
