"Joystick?"

Any of you use joysticks on your PCs? i mean for games like Freelancer, freespace 2 and Il2.

Anyone got any suggestions for what i should buy, i'm not looking and spending a small fortune just something resonable, noting that i only really have those 3 games above to use it with at the moment.

Thanks to moving lately all my stuff was in boxes in the attic, went through one today adn found my old joystick, which to be honest i completely forgot i had, only problem is it has a game port connector and my computer doesn't, i've ordered a gameport-USB connector and hopefully this joystick will be good enough for what i want.

I like the look of that one.

Got a Saitek sp550, it's a joypad and joystick combo. Only really got it for flight simulator, but it was easy to setup and not more than £20 if I remember rightly.

only 3 out of 5 but it worked fine for me and was very responcive.

Microsoft do the sidewinder, thats supposed to be very good
