Are there any?
Hold on hold on, before you kick off say "CHEETERZ R BAD!". I don't want any cheats, I just want to know if it's possible. Because while yes I'm not the best player out there it just seems impossible for the speeds these people get to at the sodding start line.

Well? Are there any?

There is a trick to instant boost off the start line - which is what I imagine you are seeing from the other players.

While holding the gas down, tap the brake and you should start spinning your wheels. Now, at the back end of the '1' second, quickly let go of the gas and press it in again, like in Mario Kart. You should boost off the line.

I'm sure there's a better explanation on how to do it somewhere else if I didn't make sense.
