I didn't miss anything from the previous movies but things can change and I don't like any surprises to be spoiled.
For all I know this one could have the Cube in space and the cube could have changed hands etc etc.

I'm not expecting it to differ much from the others.
Generally I expect it to be:
* Varied characters get chucked in 'a cube'
* Cube has some new tricks
* Characters interact whilst getting maimed by those tricks and working out how to escape
* A twist at the end
That's pretty much what the previous two were about and they were watchable. I don't think the formula needs changing much since I wasn't bored with either of the previous ones.

The main selling point of it when it was first billed is the two previous plot points, since the critisism leveled at the second was that it didn't do mych differently.
