I was wondering if it was possible to make a system that was decent for around £400?
I have a choice between getting an Xbox 360 or building a new PC before next year. Seeing as I have not ordered the new Xbox I thought it would be a good idea to build a new PC and get the 360 next year sometime.
I don't need a new monitor, keyboard, mouse or speakers.
I am also fully capable of fitting the components, but I am not capable of choosing the right components.
I am only building this so that I can play the latest games, such as BF2 and have them looking sexy. I could probably stretch my budget to £500.
If anyone could recommend me some components that would be great.
Thanks,
James

I built myself a PC last year, and bought all my stuff from SR who aren't exactly the cheapest around. Sorry guys, it's a harsh truth. But my PC only cost somewhere between £400-500, and features 512MB RAM, 3.2GHz processor, 120GB HDD, 16x DVD ROM, 52x 32x 52x CD-RW etc.
And I had to buy extra things which you say you don't need to spend your money on like monitor, speakers, etc.
Although if its for about 3 months time something will probaby come down in price, not by that much though.
